The drink and the cheese and the noise of Herve gave us the necessary energy to cover the  remaining kilometres to Liège. The only obstacle: a few stray raindrops, causing us to put raincoats on. And off again after two minutes...
The entrance of Liège was quite impressive. First following 'la Meuse', and then a small detour to one of the architectural highlights from Liège: the railway station by Calatrava. We made some tours on the square before cycling to that other 'monument' of Liège: Georges Simenon: the Auberge Georges Simenon, in the rue Georges Simenon, close to a Simenon memorial. An appropriate sleeping place for librarians...
J'ai regretté que nous ne sommes pas arrêtés devant la gare de Liège pour discuter avec les gens, pour leur expliquer ce que nous faisons.
